Danish-Swedish collaboration within microbiome R&D will pave the way for new treatments and help boost the attractiveness of Medicon Valley
In the Greater Copenhagen-region also known as Medicon Valley, when it relates to life science specifically, life science is one of the key growth industries identified by regional as well as national politicians. On top of well-established scientific strongholds within oncology, diabetes, CNS-related diseases, dermatology and fertility, a consortium of regional authorities and the organizations, Medicon Valley Alliance, Invest in Skåne and Copenhagen Capacity are now aiming to ad the field of microbiome research to the list and create nothing less than a world-class microbiome research community. The project is made possible by funding from the European Union´s European Regional Development Fund, Öresund-Kattegat-Skagerak. If you are interested in the field of microbiome, we strongly recommend to join the MVA Microbiome Network.
