1) Who is Workindemark?

Workindenmark is part of the Danish Agency for Labour Market and Recruitment (STAR), under the Ministry of Employment.

Workindenmark is a public service to all Danish companies looking for qualified international employees. We guide the companies to their next employee through advertisement of their vacant positions on our website and through the big, European network called EURES, where we have more than 1.000 colleagues locally placed all over the EU. Furthermore, we participate in around 50 onsite job fairs every year, where we are able to meet the candidates and guide them to their next career opportunity in Denmark – using our job portal with vacant positions.

Therefore, it is a great idea for Danish companies to post their job vacancies on our job portal, which can easily be done through “Jobnet for Arbejdsgivere” or through their own HR-systems.

In 2023 we assisted more than 1.200 unique companies in Denmark, and made more than 5.000 candidate/ or CV- matches to vacant positions.

2) How is Workindenmark working specifically with life science talent attraction?

Within Life Science, we have a dedicated group of colleagues who work almost exclusively with assisting Danish Life Science companies in finding their next employees. In 2023 they assisted 42 Life Science companies with job ad placement, searching for candidates and general information and guidance which concluded to a total of 1.299 job ads placed and 1.594 matches to positions in Denmark.

Furthermore, we visit various job fairs around Europe specifically designed for Life Science talents, such as BioPharma Day in Italy, BCF Career Fairs and career fairs at large universities with Life Science faculties.
We also arrange our own online job fairs for Life Science talents, where the latest was a collaboration with the Municipality of Kalundborg called “Work in Denmark: Destination Kalundborg”, where more than 1.800 jobseekers participated, 19 employers marketed their businesses and job vacancies and received in total more than 900 applications.
