AI in Oncology Drug Development – From Research to Development

Artificial Intelligence is rapidly transforming the way oncology therapies are discovered, developed, and brought to patients. From identifying novel drug targets and designing new therapeutic candidates to analyzing complex biological data and enabling more precise patient stratification, AI is becoming an increasingly important part of the oncology innovation landscape.

Yet while the potential is significant, the path from research to real-world implementation remains complex. How can AI be successfully integrated into drug discovery and development workflows? What opportunities does it offer for improving decision-making, accelerating timelines, and increasing the probability of success? And what challenges related to data quality, governance, security, and regulatory expectations must organizations navigate along the way?

At this seminar, leading experts from industry and academia will share their perspectives on how AI is shaping the future of oncology drug development. Through real-world examples and practical experiences, we will explore how AI is being applied across the value chain – from bioinformatics and target identification to candidate selection, biomarker discovery, radiomics, and clinical development.
The seminar will also examine how biotech companies are leveraging AI-driven approaches to advance innovation and discuss what the next decade may hold for the field. As AI capabilities continue to evolve at an unprecedented pace, what will oncology drug development look like ten years from now?

Join us for an afternoon of insights, discussion, and networking with key stakeholders from the Medicon Valley oncology ecosystem as we explore how AI is moving from promise to practice in the development of tomorrow’s cancer therapies.
