The changing face of early clinical development

We are pleased to invite you to Medicon Valley Alliance’s Good Morning Meeting on the theme The changing face of early clinical development.

A decade of experience since the last change to the EU Clinical Trial Directive and fourteen years since its creation the implementation and role of early clinical trials has changed immensely. From initial anxiety over this key piece of regulation to responding to the needs of testing high risk new therapies, the design and conduct of early clinical trials has had to respond quickly but thoroughly to deliver safe but more flexible solutions to advance drug candidates in the early stages of drug development.

Learn from Quintiles about the changes to the landscape of early clinical development with practical examples in the use of combined study designs; the design of proof of concept studies in patients; incorporating biomarkers in early clinical studies; to the advances in expression analysis and the latest focus on precision medicine.
