Our special guest and keynote speaker is Sofia Wallström, Chief Executive Officer of Lif – The Research Based Pharmaceutical Industry in Sweden, and Board Member of EFPIA.
In her keynote, Ms Wallström will outline how the Nordic region can leverage its strong industrial footprint, high-quality healthcare systems, innovation capacity, and collaborative culture to drive sustainable growth and resilience in an evolving pharmaceutical market. Drawing on extensive leadership experience across government and industry, she will discuss strategies to balance access, affordability, and innovation—turning Nordic complexity into competitive advantage.

Sofia Wallström, CEO, Lif – The Research-Based Pharmaceutical Industry in Sweden, and a member of the Board of EFPIA Sofia Wallström is a senior executive with extensive leadership experience at the intersection of government, healthcare, and the life sciences industry. As CEO of Lif – The Research-Based Pharmaceutical Industry in Sweden – and a Board Member of EFPIA, she plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of Sweden’s and Europe’s research-driven pharmaceutical sector. Before joining Lif, Sofia served as Director General of the Dental and Pharmaceutical Benefits Agency (TLV) and the Health and Social Care Inspectorate, where she led complex regulatory and policy initiatives to strengthen healthcare quality, access, and sustainability. Earlier in her career, she held senior positions at the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs and the Ministry of Finance, and was appointed Special Government Investigator on national healthcare and pharmaceutical policy. With a deep understanding of market access, pricing, and innovation policy across the Nordic and European healthcare landscape, Sofia is a committed advocate for collaboration between industry, government, and healthcare systems, driving innovation, competitiveness, and better health outcomes for patients and society. |
ABOUT MEDICON VALLEY ALLIANCE EXECUTIVE CLUB
The main objective with the Medicon Valley Alliance Executive Club is to provide a relevant and informal setting for networking among Medicon Valley executives. This setting will strengthen the ties between Medicon Valley executives as well as strengthen their commitment to the Medicon Valley region.
The Executive Club meets twice a year for an approximately 3 hour culinary dinner meeting in the evening with a prominent guest speaker. The dinner meetings will take place at Clarion Hotel Copenhagen Airport and there is room for around 50 executives at each dinner meeting.
MEMBERSHIP
Membership is by invitation only.
All executives representing biotech, medtech, pharma, CRO, CMO and investor companies, as well as science parks, higher learning institutions and regional councils among MVA members are automatically members of the club.
PRICE
Membership of Medicon Valley Alliance Executive Club and participation in the events are free of charge.
Cancellation policy and No-Show-Fee
Cancellations can be made free of charge when they occur before the event takes place and must be sent as soon as possible by email to event@mva.org
In case of non-appearance from the event without cancellation, MVA charge a fee of DKK 750 ex. VAT. The fee covers our incurred costs for catering, room hire and administration.
