Are You Overwhelmed by the AI Hype?
It seems that if we blink, we’ll miss the AI revolution in biomedicine and healthcare. But how will that dynamic collide with a health field that is fundamentally conservative and cautious, for many good reasons?
One thing is certain: It is already playing out in biomedical research, where artificial intelligence / machine learning is nothing new. To learn more about the current state of the art and possible future directions, join us for a free afternoon symposium on 2 June 2025, in the magnificent Mærsk Tower at the University of Copenhagen. Leading Nordic researchers will offer their perspectives on the emerging and future role of AI and other information technologies in healthcare and biomedical research, followed by a reception and poster session.
Submit your abstracts now; deadlines are 4 May for possible Travel Fellowship and Podium talk and 20 May for all abstracts. Visit the abstract page here.
We will also have a free lunchtime lecture on 3 June 2025 on the COVID pandemic and mental health. Unnur Valdimarsdottir of the University of Iceland and Karolinska Institutet will present the work of a large-scale international consortium looking at multimodal data and follow-ups from more than 550,000 people in Nordic and other European countries. See more information on the Nordforsk funded projects: COVIDMENT and CovidmentYOUNG.
We will also host a Data Visualisation Workshop – a unique opportunity to sharpen your skills and make your data clear, compelling, and ready for impact. To read more about the workshop and secure your spot, please click here.
