The life science industry and the US venture market – BY TANIA FERNANDEZ, Founder & CEO of DreamCatcher Ventures, San Francisco, CA

tania fernandez

Life sciences companies continue to demonstrate their ability to survive and thrive amidst periods of economic recession, health care spending cutbacks, geographic market swings and changing population profiles. Adaptation has been key to survival for this rather resilient sector.

This talk will focus on the current state of the life sciences sector; and trends impacting markets and organizations. 2014 was a turning point for venture capital investments. Even as investor confidence rose with increasing levels of liquidity and a sizzling exit environment, the field itself changed with the emergence of new assets classes of financiers. The talk will also provide an overview on venture capital in the US.

To sign up, please send an e-mail to Morten Mølgaard Jensen, CEO, Copenhagen Bio Science Park mmj@cobis.dk.

The event will be co-hosted by COBIS and Medicon Valley Alliance and will be held in meeting room M6 at COBIS:
