Registration for the 2026 LIT Symposium is officially open. Make sure to secure your spot, as seats are limited, and sign up here! Please note that priority will be given to LU academic participants.
This year’s theme Tissue Immunity: Defence at the Frontline will explore how immune responses are orchestrated across the body’s key interfaces, from the skin to the respiratory and intestinal mucosa.
We are honored to welcome an outstanding lineup of international leaders who are shaping our understanding of tissue-specific immunity:
- Yasmine Belkaid – renowned for her groundbreaking work on barrier immunity and host–microbe interactions, and leadership role as the president of the Pasteur Institute.
- Molly Ingersoll – illuminating how bladder mucosal immune responses contribute to protection and pathology in infection and cancer, under the influence of sexual dimorphism.
- Eduardo Villablanca – pioneering the study of intestinal immune crosstalk in health and inflammation.
- Mauro Gaya – advancing insights into the establishment of B cell memory in barrier tissues.
- Carolyn King – uncovering how CD4⁺ T cells are programmed within barrier tissues to orchestrate protective mucosal and antibody-mediated immunity.
We can’t wait to see you there for another inspiring day of scientific discussions!
