At the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Biosustainability at the Technical University of Denmark we are working towards a sustainable world that supports the environment and prosperity for all. We are creating and using biological and computational tools and methods to produce cells and compounds that can replace petroleum-based products, support the development of alternative food sources, and natural compounds. The tools that we use range from synthetic biology and metabolic engineering to computational biology and genome-scale models to laboratory evolution, biofoundry, and design of microbial cells and microbiomes. The range that we use is from microtiter plates to pre-pilot plant scale.
