With the ten-year grant DKK 5.5 billion grant BII can continue to support startups and scale our activities in the Danish and European ecosystem for the foreseeable future.

Since 2018, BII have supported over 130 early-stage startups within life science and deep tech, and these areas will continue to be very important to BII, but in the future areas such as AI and quantum technologies will have a much bigger focus

“We are truly grateful for the long-term support from the Novo Nordisk Foundation. It provides exceptional conditions for bringing more scientific breakthroughs to the market to address global challenges. To succeed in our mission, we must continue to foster cross-sector collaboration that drives the creation of new innovations and companies,” – Jens Nielsen, CEO of BII.

“At Medicon Valley Alliance, we are proud to be among BII’s biggest cheerleaders and to have them as engaged in our region and Medicon Valley community. We warmly congratulate the entire team at BioInnovation Institute (BII) on the renewed and impressive runway – now also opening exciting new initiatives within quantum technologies and AI. We look forward to showcasing and promoting these areas across the Medicon Valley ecosystem and beyond” Anette Steenberg, MVA CEO.
