In alignment with
the new MVA strategy, it was decided to update and align the organization’s membership fee structure, which has not been fully updated for inflation and cost increases in the past few years.
The current membership fee structure includes a basic fee and an additional fee depending on the number of employees. The fee structure is linear.
- Regions and cities: A basic fee of 11.100 DKK + 550 DKK per 1000 inhabitants
- Universities/University departments/Academic institutions: A basic fee of 11.100 DKK + 550 DKK per researcher working with life science-related activities
- All other members: A basic fee of 11.100 DKK + 550 DKK per employee working with life science-related activities (if the number of employees exceeds 50, the fee per additional employee is reduced by 50% (275 DKK)
The new membership fee structure will be as follows.
- Regions and cities: Negotiated based on proximity to Medicon Valley, volume of life science-related activities and board/non-board position
- Universities/University departments/Academic institutions: Negotiated based on proximity to Medicon Valley, volume of life science-related activities/departments and board/non-board position
- All other members: A basic fee of 15.900 DKK, which includes up to 5 employees. For the 6 to 55 employees, the addition is DKK 550 per person. Exceeding 55 employees, the per-person fee is reduced to DKK 275. The figures only refer to employees working with life science-related activities in the Medicon Valley region. Companies hosted in incubators that have a group membership of Medicon Valley Alliance, can register as members free of charge. The changes will take effect as of 1 January 2026 and be fixed for a period of 3 years.
All member companies have recently received an e-mail informing them about these changes.
