HALOS – Final Conference

Join HALOS Final Conference – a full-day event on the 8th of June. It will give you a chance to listen to e.g. presentations from HALOS researchers as well as discussions by stakeholders who will cover the results from HALOS and the future direction for the HALOS region. Everyone who wishes to present results from their HALOS projects in the form of a poster are welcome to do so.

When: 8th of June. The event is scheduled between 9.00 and 18.00, followed by dinner until 21.00.
Venue: Elite Hotel Ideon, Scheelevägen 27, 223 63 Lund

PRELIMINARY PROGRAM:

9. 30 Opening welcome speech (with greetings from the HALOS chair and Lund University vice-chancellor Erik Renström)
10.00 Industry session in collaboration with InfraLife, SMiLE (Linköping University), Medicon Valley Alliance and Life Science Nord, moderated by Stephan Bouman, focusing on: “What are the opportunities if we collaborate? How to move forward? What do we take with us from the HALOS Industry outreach plans?
10.30 Coffee/tea break
11.00 Science highlight I (speaker TBA). All science talks will include exciting scientific results from HALOS projects but also include perspectives such as the values of cross-border collaboration and industry outreach, value for the life science sector, horizontal criteria, lessons learned, what to take with us.
11.15 Cross-Border Research: presenting the results from 6-month projects and illustrating the value of the projects for the Life Science sector as well as the value of the Cross-Border collaboration.
11.45 Science highlight II (speaker TBA)
12.00 Lunch with poster viewing
13.00 Science highlight III (speaker TBA)
13.15 Regional Development: results and activities including an introduction to the Joint HALOS region strategy
13.45 Science highlight IV (speaker TBA)
14.00 What will come next? Continued collaborations within the Life Science sector in the HALOS region
14.30 Coffee/tea break and poster viewing
15.00 Regional/ministerial discussions (panel debate including panelists Pia Kinhult (ESS) and Klaus von Lepel (Ministry of Science, Hamburg) moderated by Petter Hartman, CEO Medicon Village)
15.30 Concluding remarks
