Welcome to the MVA Medtech Network and our next meeting!
Predictive toxicology – an accelerator of MDR approval
The cumulative effects of globalization, rapidly evolving technologies, and emerging areas of science have created unprecedented opportunities and challenges for the medtech industry. The growing market of medtech has created a need for new tools and a more risk based approach to ensure safe products on the market. Breakthroughs in many areas of science are generating new tools and methods that are being incorporated into the science of toxicology. During the past decade, scientists have taken significant steps to upgrade toxicology toolboxes and developed new faster and more human relevant alternative approaches reducing the need for use of animal testing. In order to obtain acceptance of these new toxicology methods a continuous dialogue and feedback among all relevant stakeholders is needed at all stages, from development to implementation, including qualification and acceptance by regulatory authorities. Where does the industry stand today with regards to predictive toxicology such as computational toxicology and new in vitro test methods, and how can these new approaches be used in submissions for MDR approval?
Medicon Valley Alliance, together with the Steering Committee of the MVA Medtech Network, welcomes you to the 9th MVA Medtech Network meeting. This meeting will focus on discussions and sharing experiences.
With regards to the rising cases of Covid-19 in the region, this meeting will take place online.
Date: | 9th of September, 2020 |
Time: | 15.00- 16.15 |
Host: | Medicon Valley Alliance |
Venue: | Online – Link to the Medtech Network Meeting |
The Network
MVA Medtech Network gathers the region’s medtech industry to create new partnerships and business opportunities. Joining the network is free of charge but is limited to Medicon Valley Alliance members. However, non-member organizations and companies are welcome to attend one network event to evaluate if being part of the network is relevant. If so, becoming a member of Medicon Valley Alliance will automatically allow you to join the medtech network.
