Medicon Valley Alliance would like to welcome you to this MedTech Network Meeting on the 17th of September 2024.
This meeting features presentations from five companies at various stages of their development. Each speaker will share their company’s journey, focusing on key strategies, innovations, and experiences that have led to their current success.
Topics will include technological advancements, product development processes, regulatory challenges, and market strategies.
We wish to inspire and facilitate learning among Med-Tech professionals by highlighting practical insights and real-world examples of overcoming challenges in the industry.

She has a background in Biology and research.
Originating from the Biomedical Design Novo Nordisk Foundation Fellowship Programme in 2021, Cacto Health have worked to improve patient lives by developing a home-monitoring device to detect early signs of lymphedema which is a common side-effect of breast cancer treatment. |

Mads Skak, CTO and co-founder of Cacto Health
With a background in engineering and industrial design he has more than 10 years of experience within product and service development.

Hanna Sjöström, CEO Neola Medical
Hanna Sjöström holds a Master’s in Business Administration and Technology Management from Lund University in Sweden and an Executive MBA from the Swedish Management Group. Sjöström is a highly commercially focused CEO with proven track record within Fast Moving Consumer Goods for +10 years from international roles at L’Oréal and the Coca-Cola Company in combination with Life Science CEO and executive roles at TePe and Neola Medical AB (publ). Hanna Sjöström is a certified and experienced board member of privately held AMB Industri AB and Reccan AB. |

Annika Antius, Quality Assurance Manager, Iconovo
Annika has a background in the life science area since 1996, working with both pharmaceutical and medical device development. Now she is merging the two “worlds” developing combination products. Working for Iconovo, she is bringing inhalation expertise to other businesses.

With 30 years of experience in sales, marketing and business development, she has a proven track record of bringing innovative medical technologies to the market. Her expertise has been instrument in driving global growth and success of the LUCAS chest compression system, a life-saving innovation from Lund used to save sudden cardiac arrest patients.

Maya Zagouri, Co-founder of Uterome Biomedical
Currently pursuing her master’s degree in biotechnology at the Technical University of Denmark, she is one of three passionate female founders of Uterome Biomedical. This early-stage startup is dedicated to raising awareness about endometriosis and developing a reliable diagnostic tool for this often-overlooked disease. |
