PBMCs – a unique solution

We are pleased to invite you to Medicon Valley Alliance’s Good Morning Meeting on the theme PBMCs – a unique solution for accelerating research, drug development and high throughput studies.
Precision Bioservices hosts this complimentary meeting where you will get the opportunity of discussing ways to enhance early human research through using their unique Acucell® human primary blood cells and what alternatives exist and are the right fit for you.
During this seminar we will discuss the science behind the cells as well as case studies representing how cellular products and solutions can accelerate your research and optimize your early phase success.

PBMCs – a unique solution for accelerating research, drug development and high throughput studies
Biopharmaceutical research & development has seen a significant influx in spend over the past couple years, and seems to be continuing to ramp up efforts to accelerate research. Biotechs spent an average of $54 million on R&D in 2012, up significantly from the $50 million the firm counted in 2011 and the $48 million recorded in 2010.
With the increased budgets comes increased pressure to find alternatives to accelerate and streamline research. Precision Bioservices understands the challenges that this poses to internal teams developing new therapies. As a partner, Precision Bioservices collaborates with our clients to provide alternative cellular solutions to help overcome these R&D barriers.
Precision’s AccuCell® Human Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells, frozen by our efficient cryopreservation techniques, fully retain their functional and differentiation capability. Cryopreserved peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) provide an excellent alternative to fresh PBMC as a tool for assay validation, phenotypic analysis, and functional immunological studies. Optimal retention of PBMC functionality during cryopreservation depends on optimized and standardized cell isolation, freezing, and storage conditions.
This discussion will dive deeper into cryopreserved PBMCs and how this alternative may be an efficient and effective way to streamline and accelerate future R&D efforts.
