Fourth time in a row, the Danish-Swedish life science cluster organization receives the GOLD label certification from The European Secretariat for Cluster Analysis (ESCA)

The Berlin-based organisation coordinates a network of around 200 cluster experts from more than 30 countries, which offer benchmarking and labelling services on behalf of ESCA. In addition, ESCA provides hands-on advice to cluster managers on cluster development and supports cluster policy makers and programme owners with advice on cluster programme development. High performing cluster organization can receive either bronze, silver or gold label.

Medicon Valley Alliance (MVA) was awarded with the Gold Label for the first time in March 2015 and since then, this label has been continuously renewed in 2017, 2020 and now again in 2024.

“Although the most important test of the relevance and value creation of MVA is in the day-to-day interaction with our growing number of member companies and organizations and key stakeholders, we are honored to obtain this positive acknowledgement from ESCA. The dedicated MVA-team has put a lot of efforts into both new activities such as the women’s health network, expansion of existing activities such as MVA’s commercial events and scaling our project development activities, which have resulted in MVA currently being actively engaged in both the HALRIC-project (research infrastructure), the ReproUnion-project (infertility) , the DiaUnion-project (Type 1 diabetes) and the Life Science Academy. The reception of Gold label certification 2024 for the fourth time in a row, underlines Medicon Valley Alliance’s continued value creation for our members and cross-border life science region: Medicon Valley” says MVA CEO Anette Steenberg.
